Masters rowing squad is open to rowers aged 27 years and above as of the 31st December. Masters rowers row in age categories A to L (based on the rower's age or the average age of their crew).
When masters squads compete against other crews, they either compete against crews in the same age band, or against rowers/crews of an older or younger age category with a time based handicap.
Masters rowers have the opportunity to compete in regattas of all levels, including local, national and international events. Many masters rowers enjoy travelling to race on different courses around the world.
Competition on a straight course is generally over 1000m. However, sprints and long distance races are also popular.
Masters rowing also focuses on the health and fitness benefits of rowing, socialising and forming friendships.
To row with our masters squad, you are required to be a member of Power House Rowing Club.
