On 25th April, Power House Rowing held its annual ANZAC Day breakfast.
The morning began with glorious sunshine and a social row, with 17 members hitting the water in a combination of crews. A range of rowers participated from development squad through to crews training in preparation for Masters season (including State and National Masters championships) headed out in eights, quads, doubles and singles.
On return to the club, rowers and social members got to enjoy a hearty egg and bacon sandwich, courtesy of Mike Taylor (who displayed excellent Master Chef skills).
Following breakfast, our treasurer Stephen Spring paid tribute to those who served their country, with a particular focus on rowers who stood up and fought proudly. The morning ended with the traditional ANZAC recital, playing of the Last Post and a minutes silence.
